Funding Priorities
Our donors - thousands of individuals, corporations and foundations - fund leading-edge research and technology, and help us serve patients in financial need. Although our funding priorities have sizable goals, please remember that all donations, large and small, make a difference. Your gifts contribute to Providence Portland Medical Center's excellence.
Cancer research
Funding supports the ongoing work at the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Cancer Center. This includes patient-based research to develop innovative treatments which use the power of the body's own immune system.
Providence Center for Advanced Heart Disease
Donations provide financial support for this program at Providence Heart and Vascular Institute. The program offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical treatments, including transplantation, to patients who are diagnosed with heart failure.
Brain treatment
Donations allow Providence Brain Institute to find innovative ways to treat stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, ALS and more.
Providence Gately Academy
Gately Youth Services sponsors this private middle school for students who have ADD/HD or learning disabilities. Gifts pay for scholarships and program costs.
